drumroll please...... as most of you know, I am staying in China this summer! Ive gotten a few questions about my plans, so heres some more details about whats in store.
This summer I am exclusively a travel bum. Thats right–no work, no internship, no volunteering. Im just traveling. I figured that this will be my only opportunity to have a summer free to travel China, so why pass up the opportunity?
So, will I be traveling alone? No, not for most of the time. I am traveling with JB until July 1 and then meeting up with my aunt, uncle, and cousins on July 6. I will be traveling with them until July 25, when I will be going to Taiwan solo.
With JB, I am going to Sanya, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hangzhou. With my family, I am traveling to Beijing, Chengdu, and Zhengzhou. I have not planned my Taiwan itinerary yet.
I am a little nervous, mostly because I have never traveled alone before. But hopefully by then my Chinese travel language skills will be better and I will be able to get around by myself.
I am most excited for the Avatar Mountains in Zhangjiajie and the Great Wall in Beijing. I have heard a lot about both places and theyre supposed to be surreal!
And, mark your calanders, I am coming home on August 13! Cant wait to see everyone :)
