CULTURAL FAUX PAS #1: Using your laundry basket that is clearly labeled "laundry" (but in Indonesian, of course), as your trash can.
CULTURAL FAUX PAS #2: Trying to say thank you to a driver who let you cross the street by waving with your left hand.... whoops (for those of you who don't know, NEVER EVER use you left hand to wave, pay, or give something to some in Indonesia.
CULTURAL FAUX PAS #3: Trying to return a broken modem to the tech store--I guess people don't return things here...
CULTURAL FAUX PAS #4: How the heck do I wash my underwear? You're not supposed to give it to your host family to wash and there's not sink to wash it in... guess I'll just have to wash them in the shower.
CULTURAL FAUX PAS #5: Has no idea how to turn on the water in the shower.... stands there for 20 minutes until my host mom sends a neighbor to come upstairs and ask me what's wrong....
Well, I guess I still have a lot to learn :P
